Five GCSEs at Grade 6 or above in different subjects including English and Maths and recommended 6 in Biology. If single sciences are not available at your school then you need two grade 6s in the GCSE Sciences you are taking

There are six compulsory practicals which will be assessed within these exams
Year 13

Energy transfers within and between organisms
How organisms respond to changes in their internal and external environments
Genetics populations evolution and ecosystems
The control of gene expression
This will be assessed by three external exams
There are twelve compulsory practicals which will be assessed within these exams
